Dr Stacey Pizzino
Hi, I'm Stace, and I'm a global health and development expert. I'm passionate about improving the lives of those impacted by disasters, armed conflict and complex humanitarian emergencies. I have over a decade of experience in academia, on the frontlines as a paramedic and working across humanitarian research and disaster projects.
Let's chat!
I'm passionate about evidence-based policy and practice.
I loved being a paramedic on the frontlines of emergency healthcare and working with vulnerable communities. I also loved exploring the world and experiencing cultures different to my own. These two passions led me to engage with the global and planetary health impacts of disasters and humanitarian emergencies. I believe in strengthening the evidence-base to improve outcomes for vulnerable communities affected by crises and disasters.
My recent research into how explosive ordnance impact health resulted in the world's largest epidemiological analysis of casualties of landmines and explosive remnants of war.
